Best Tyre Size for std valver alloys

OK, i recently bought some prima sport alloys (willy style) for my valver but am finding that they stick out so much (kerbing wise) that i think im gonna go back to the standard phase 1 alloys.

What i want to know is, what is he best tyre size to use on standard valver rims. I assume its 195/50 as theyre wider than the 185s but can anyone elaborate? Also if anyone has a pic of a valver lowered on phase 1 rims i appreciate it!

Thanks!

i hill climbed my clio 16v on 195 45s, bridestone re720s, great tyre with loads of grip. pics of my car are on the first page of the 16v gallery. it was very very low. dont know exactly how much though. after a bit of experimenting ran 32 psi. tyre sat great on the rim.

Cheers folks! Im gonna get the rims refurbished before swapping them over but it should very nice and subtle with the back on!

Adams_16v - no theyre in silver 16" - a very nice wheel but im still undecided about whether i like them or not. My car is getting on a bit now and am beginning to think that it needs the original style alloy to complete it....

hillclimbmark - its actually after seeing your car that im thinking of doing this!
