Best way to get a phone unlocked to all networks?

Got a V3i on Tmobile, gonna assume its locked, whats the best way to get an O2 sim to work? other than these dodgy market stalls.

The V3i can be done with a cable but I believe its a right pain in the ass crack.

u should be able to ring ur provider up and get them to unlock it. sometimes costs £15
