Best way to store films on a PS3?

I would like to rip all my DVD's onto my laptops HD and I have the software for that.

As I understand I could stream the movies from the laptop to the PS3 but would rather just copy them onto the PS3's HD as its a big un.

How can I do this without an external HD as backup?

Can I do it on via the internet? wired or wireless? or 2 at a time via an 8 gig memory stick lol!

thanks in advance

I thought that if you had a media server set up (which is easy if you use PS3 media server)

You could copy them that way? Swear there is an option to save the files.

I just copy them over via wireless. I do this for all 1080p c**tent. 720p c**tent I just stream over my network.

View it over the stream and press 'triangle' and then 'copy'

I will have the file on my laptop in whatever format it rips dvd'd onto mp4 iirc?

Anyway I could do this on one of two laptops using XP or Vista!
