Beware polish jetwashers!!

Went with my friend to one of those five pound car wash places today, been lots of times and never had a problem before, tis just handy for a quick clean!

Anyhoooo ... when my friend had been cleaned we spotted a 'mark' on one of her wheels, on closer inspection they had blasted all the coating from the centre of the alloys (the alloys used to be black and had been refurbed silver)

Obviously, a fair amount of corrosion will have caused the damage, but we argued that after seeing the damage on the first wheel, the guy washing should have stopped and said something,, not carried on and killed all 4!!

Long story short, after threatening court etc and going to a specialist bodyshop and getting a written quote for repair, the Jetwasher people coughed up 100 shiny polish pounds for repair to the wheels!

Moral of the story....Stick to bucket and sponges, and dont mess with angry blondes! :approve:

On the plus side....mine is nice and shiny

On topic, I'd never let anyone wash my car, rather it be dirty and washed eventually by me than someone else to do. Once had it done by the washers in M&S and I spent half an hour cleaning all the lil bits they had missed. You can't beat cleaning it yourself.
