Half of them only bought a mini because they couldnt afford a 3 series!
sorry, but im gonna agree with this just to be an arse :).

by 3 series I take it you mean a real one (6cyl), cos they obviously want something with performance, so its gonna be a 325i or better, in which case (to quote) "Half of them only bought a mini because they couldnt afford a 3 series!"

not with the daft options they have though, and most seem to go for it, 22+k for a hot hatch!? Id get a Skyline for that price personally

22+ that is a fully loaded JCW MINI Cooper S not that popular for most pockets .. rough price of good MCS is about the 18 mark (from experience) for decent spec ...

well either way if you look at it on the basis of what it actually is, ie a suped-up shopper (yes, like our cars too!) then its a great car probably, but its well over priced IMO. My m8 had one of these for a couple of weeks and to be honest the interior was well made, but not to my personal liking and the performance was okay. Suffice to say he got bored and spent the money he got back for it on Mitsi Evo! 2nd hand yes, but fact remains you can have a much better car for the money, if your loaded it makes no difference, but begs the question, why didnt you get a BMW!?!?!?

just to add, I wouldnt have a 182 or 172 either, each to their own tho, Mini CooperS and 182/172s are great cars regardless.

Hi i agree they are over priced for options etc, and the trade in value is not good either ... the reason why i liked the mini was when they first come out they was good to look at and different thats when i had mine ... then i bought a MCS to see how much difference it was from the cooper.. but i got bored with it and sold it for a 3 series compact .. which is now up for sale... i think your opinion is fair .... everyone has their own taste in cars and we should just respect that
