I called John last Thursday about a set of Apex springs for my 172. He came back with a great price of £95 delivered which beat everywhere else I could find.
Payment went through on Friday morning and the springs arrived today.
Really impressed. John's a really friendly bloke and was more than happy to chat.
If you need anything for you Clio, give John a shout and I am sure he will do his best to get you the best price possible while delivering great customer service.

I was going to do it tonight Jamie but my dad doesn't believe me when I say you don't need spring compressors so he's going to pick some up from work tomorrow. I would do it anyway but it means moving 2 cars to get to the garage then moving another out of the garage and I can't be bothered on my own.
I'll get pics up tomorrow with my Turini downgrades as well ;)

John works on his own as far as I am aware. He runs the whole joint single handed. You're probably better off giving him a ring.

no offence to the guy but not replying even after 2 weeks.. that takes the piss.

They weren't listed when I wanted them 6-8 weeks ago. I found their Ebay shop and sent them an email. I got a poorly written response a week later quoting £180 delivered. Not exactly confidence inspiring at the time.

But that's no different to Nick Hill is it? I have never dealt with him but by all accounts he doesn't like emails/pm's yet he is hailed as a god.

I'm not saying it's a good thing that people don't answer emails but i'm sure they don't do it out of choice. In the short space of time that I chatted with John it became apparent that he was working extremely hard and making alot of sacrifices trying to get things off of the ground, trying to undercut already discounted suppliers like MSW whilst offering what I would call good customer service, even though his email replies are a little overdue.

im not scared of a phone but when somewhere lists an email address i will email them as a) its easier/free and b) they can read through a couple of times and check that theyre quoting for the correct vehicle.

plus you then have a figure in writing not just spoken over the phone.

if he doesnt reply in a few days then i will phone. :)

john normally replies to emails within a few hours , but i`d gues to say beeing this time of yer hes takin a little break, ye as far as i know he works alone , by looks of it he aint been online (msn) in 4 days,

if yer lucky he might be back in work tommorow , but personally if i owed me own buisness and did the hours he does (6 days a week 10-12 hrs a day) think id be takin a week off over crimbo time

and yer nick hill does come highly regarded , he`s good at his job , just a shame he dont get along with pcs as much.

GuyS , if its nick uve emialed i doubt itll work came back failed on mine , he does answer pms, but takes a while, try him on his ebay account pm he replies to them. i think the problems ppl like nick have is if they have emails same as k-tech do they will get too many enquires and they`ll be from ppl just wasting there time . same as ppl emailing them how much it costs for things like throttle bodies and other exstensive work on cars.

as stated, johns a top bloke and will give you the best price no matter what. The reason he takes so long to reply is that a) he works single handedly and b) when he does respond its not a half arsed reply like most companys give. John makes people feel like their custom is important unlike some companys i'm not gonna mention. Give him a ring and i'm sure he'll make it upto you with a good price :)

Right, im back at work today after a Xmas break, here all day and tomorrow..

A few weeks ago we had server problems, the HDD crashed and lots of e-mails were lost as well as the site being down, this may be the reason you didnt get a reply...

If GuyS is Guy Sleeman then i replied to your e-mail received on the 27th today.

As others have said, i do run the sales side of 2modified on my own and it has been quite busy recently although im never to busy for customers, hence the opening hours (9-6pm and Saturdays!!)

As for finding it cheaper through Motech, they Import Apex so they can match anyones price, it may have been a stock clearance as i couldnt find the price cheaper when i looked.

I have spoken to the Admin about becoming an official trader on here, i hope you guys would support me in doing that and that we can bring you some more great offers as a company.

Sound to round this off, if you havent had a reply to an e-mail please send it again as our system is not fully operational, if you have any problems and you would prefer to ring then please do.

Just to clear this up, our opening hours on the main site stated

Upto 23rd December - Normal Hours
24th December - 11am - 2pm
25th - 28th December - Closed
29th - 30th December - Normal Hours
31st - 1st January - Closed
2nd January Onwards - Normal Hours

But i have now replied and hopefully cleared that up :)
