I hear this is a common problem with Valvers and Williams!
The engine seems to get quiite hot easily..It doesnt go above 3/4 on the guage, but that is still quite high...is there any point in getting a more powerful or larger fan?
My temp needle dosent go below 3/4 when hot at all, untill its been parked for a few minutes, I think the temp gauge is buggered beacuse the car dosent seem that hot........
Dont need it mate. But if you are worried you can get a low temp sensitivity thermostat and fan switch from http://www.bbperformancetuning.co.ukwww.bbperformancetuning.co.uk.
Pacet (get them from Demon Tweeks) makes great fans in all different sizes, push and pull applications... They are very silent in operation but move so much more air than the standard item, even if you choose one the same size as the standard one...
Start by getting the Demon Tweeks motorsport catalouge... The Pacet fan range is quite large.. so find the size of fan you need (cant remember what size ive got, but theres room for a larger one!!!) The fans are very slim, the depth of the fan fan is much less than the standard one, so should not pose a problem with the manifold or throttlebody!!!
Cant remember the cost, and i fitted it myself!! You need to work out a method of fitting it, using the holes in the radiator.. use the fittings supplied with the fan... and a little work connecting it...
If you that worried about it getting too hot, get a low temp fan switch. It will make the fan kick in sooner. IMO, the standard fan on the valver is adequate enough to cool it down.
