Bioethanol

What do people know about this stuff?

I had a read of this website to find out some info, as they sell it at my local Morrisons.

It doesn't really say whether you can use it in any car or not. It says its very much like petrol, but it says you may need to adjust a cars ignition timing and it could corrode any rubbers it comes into contact with, ie, fuel pump seals and such like.

Has anyone used this stuff, its suppose to be about 105ron so should be good stuff if its okay to use.

your injectors are too small for starters, the car isn't mapped for it

you would have to test it on the rubbers and plastics first

but it would "run" on it as is yes

The fact it is 105ron means very little.

It has a calorific value about 30% less than petrol, I doubt it would run on a map set-up for petrol.

its certainly the future IMO, we were using just under 4L per lap round hungaroring!! had to keep flushing the bag tank and inspecting it
