Bit of an oil leak (Japfest 2007)

This guy had "a bit of an off" after suffering a minor oil leak...for about a mile:

Quite a day, huge crowds and about 2000 cars on display. I can now tick off "seeing a UK NSX airborne" on my things I've seen in my lifetime list. Hell of a crash, very scary.

and some normal stuff:

Was there today saw the Zen powerred scooby and the black RX7 drift car both go up in smoke :dapprove:

Was speaking to the guy with the blue evo, running over 500bhp on low boost, fortunately all that happened was the oil filter came loose and dumped the oil :hail:

Excellant pics by the way.

Bloody hell, didn't notice that. Got some nice pics of that one as well, haven't sorted them all yet but found another good one...

Was this the Scooby that went up in smoke...? Fast as hell but sounded a bit rough on occasions.

I was at Avon Rise and Quarry for most of the day, I saw smoke over at Bobbies a few times, I assume that is where both incidents happened. Did you see the NSX roll? Hell of a crash.

rx apparantly on its first run a tyre popped... thought is that a bit of rubber cut a fuel line, second time out people saw fuel pissing out as it left the pits then it went up in flames...

nsx lost it on a corner looked like he caught it then it all went bad, slid off the track across some grass, hit the tyre wall bounced up in the air, rolled on its roof then back on to the wheels... driver is ok or so everyone is saying.

It was a great day yesterday.

I missed the NSX crash, it sounded bad. The NSX drivers seemed the most carefull of the bunch as well.

The blue scooby was quick as hell, such a shame for it to catch fire. The owner had a bad day, his toll care (a forester) broke down in the pits too..

Simon Norris's Evo was flying.

The real one runs a skyline gearbox, but as you say it hasn't been out properly yet (last time I heard they had a few probs with some parts on it)

There looked to be some mad cars at the show, i'm loving the rx7's :approve:

Finished editing the rest last night, pretty happy with them...

They are awesome photos mate, what camera and lense are you using?

Nikon D50 (I was in a shop yesterday and I guy completely dismissed the D50 because it was 'only 6 megapixels', I could have screamed ;))

I use a Nikon 80-200mm 2.8 AF-S (second hand bargain of the century) and a Nikon TC-14 EII teleconverter, giving me a 110-280mm f4.

I was a quarry the majority of the day, and boy did that thing not sound good. The engine was tapping like mad going round the corner, thought it was going to go pop at any minute.....

Mint photos as per usual Chris.:D I haven't tried much panning really. It's rather difficult to come away with good results. I did some panning work at the Air Tattoo at Fairford last summer, but that's about it really.
