Thats me indeed fella, I slowed down hoping you would notice the sticker to get you on here if you weren't already registered!
The motor was only looking clean as it gets washed on a Sunday, by the end of the week with the motorway driving I do its not so clean!
Cant say i've noticed the liquid yellow effort although since I moved to the city I dont get into Lurgan centre much.
I was considering trying to get a meeting setup and a tour along the Causeway Coastal Route for any of the members here from N. Ireland but it seems there's only 3 of us!

Yeah, i seen that link before...but because I haven't paid for membership I couldn't reply...or there was some other technical problem. Yeah, would be up for a bit tour around the causeway if weather could be guranteed to be good...am quite often up that direction anyway.
Have to leave my car down to get a bit of work done on the rear suspension...creaking like crazy at the moment. Got two new shocks fitted and still creaking...its doing my head in.
Anyway, should try and get something organised at some stage.

You think your heads done in, my glovebox is vibrating like a rampant rabbit, booked in for Friday but naturally Charles Hurst are making an issue of it.

Am booked in to Hursts early Saturday morning...I left in it about a week and half ago...had to get a new steering wheel fitted and they fitted a new shock...still not right though.
No work done to my motor...completely standard...just like it the way it is. Don't want to invalidate any warranty. What about you, into modications?

Nothing done, yet...I'm thinking of a filter of some kind, I'd really like it lowered but my last Clio was very low and very uncomfortable so the jury is out...maybe an exhaust and decat, Canavans do custom stuff so you can get the exhaust note you want, something discreet would be nice. Unlike the Civic that used to tour round town with absolutely no silencers of any kind!
From what I can gather Hursts are quite useless with this stuff, I always slagged Shelbourne but their customer service puts these clowns to shame.

Theres another lad on here, Burt, he said he woud be up for it. Ive seen a silver 182 and a silver 172 hanging around the Lisburn Road so i'll leave them some cliosport cards and see if they surface.

You head for the motorway at Lurgan to go to the city? I love the slip road down there at the Lough Road, on a dry day that roundabout and the on ramp are mighty fun!
Yip...that's a beezer of a round-about...can hit it at a good bit of speed..cup suspension works a treat. I usually take the back round out of Lurgan into Crumlin and up to Knotts Corner, but the backroad is closed at the moment. So down motorway to Moira roundabout and then long haul up to Knotts corner. Seriously spend a lot of money on petrol though. Meant to say, if you mange to get a few rallied up for a tour, private message me

Surely going to Moira through Dollingstown and Magheralin would be quicker? Although I do see the traffic backed up there in the mornings so your way is probably best!
I used to do the backroad all the way from the airport roundabout to the city, some fine roads up there, my old 1.2 used to take a raping on those roads, eventually takes you out at Sandyknowles roundabout. Had an awful scare there on enight, going round a corner and drove over a brick lying in the road, thought I was dead for a few seconds!
I see what you mean about petrol, i'm going through it at a scary rate but as i've only had the car a month the novelty hasn't worn off yet and I can never resist playing with the 1.2 corsas.
Will let you know if theres any interest for a meet and a run, need to get some more interest first. Might head into Bangor some Sunday night, theres always a gathering of motors up there.

Ever been up to Bangor before Burt? Meant to be quite good although what on earth do folk do at these things? Sit in their cars with a window down talking or do they head out for a run?
i havent been in ages! yeah most people sit around n talk, ive only stayed for a short while though in the past, see what motors are about theres some nice cars but alot of s**t also.....we usaully go for a blast up the carriageway sometimes few of the mates have tuned evo's and cossies n stuff always good fun lol

Just been chatting with a lad in work who goes to these things, he informs me its good banter but there arent many folk about at this time of year. He says it gets good around May.

aye ya get the wee groupies hangin round wi there smick boyfriends in the 1.2 corsa and saxo crew sometimes get the odd ejit trying to do a burnout and getting caught by the cops lol always good value
yeah i havnt went since last summer but it should pick up once the good weather and bright nights come back...its ok now and again if your at a loose end on a sunday night
