Hi guys,
just wondered whether anyone could shed any light on a problem that my PCs having.
My pc had a problem where is was running at a crawl, I tested memory, took out graphics card and cleaned fans and reset bios by removing battery etc.
This fixed the problem and the machine started to run at normal speed, but graphics card settings went to a safety mode turning down all its settings. I turned everything up to about the same as they were before and all seemed ok.
But then suddenly a issue occurred and i am not sure why. After loading bios the windows logo appears as normal but takes more time than it used to, then a black screen appears and lasts from anything between 10 seconds to a minute. Then it logs in as usual and runs as usual pace.
I have a new monitor and turned up resolution to 1,280 x 1,024, could this be the problem? I think the graphic card is a geforce fx5700 128mb.
