Bloody Renault.....

My car went into the dealers yesterday to have a new powersteering pump fitted, I called them last night to see if I could pick it up, they said no, as they couldnt start it, which is strange as I have never had this problem before. They said to call back this morning to see if it was sorted. So I rang this morning and guess what, the cambelt had snapped just as they started it......

Me and the service manager are now not the best of friends.

Yes Ive got a little 1.2 to keep me going. Im just pissed off as they say it was a fault with the car which could of reared its head at any time. Just seems strange it did it whilst parked in their workshop.

Its odd really. Ive had cars go in for work in the past and have other things go wrong while in. All purely coinicidence of course according the the dealer.

i bet some tw*t has undone the bottem pulley and didnt know the engine has no key ways on the crank pulley etc. pulley stays still, crank moves as you undo the bolt and tighten it back. try to start the engine,oh dear a nice set of bent valves.

  Megane 225 baby! :)

TBH would say that its not uncommon with any garage, just takes one idiot!

Mine went in for a new gearbox, day I was meant to get it back, get a phonecall saying "do you mind keeping the megane for a couple more days!?!?!" reason being some nonce had dropped the bonnet and split a couple of hoses (which they didnt have in stock!!!!)
