At work on friday

not happy, not at all

havent p!ssed any1 off that i know of, basically its a big carpark and we have office staff and then theres warehouse staff aswell, who alot of are students and ppl just doing temp work

basically 3-4 months ago i had an alloy centre cap stolen, car was parked at back of car park and the woman who looks through cctv said she couldnt see anything due to car being too far away

wasnt impressed but manager got me the money for it, £20

not alot but thats £20 i shouldnt have to spend, + the month wait for the centre cap from wolfrace


FRIDAY, get home and guess what, another has been taken, had yesterday off so rung work up and told them 2 start looking

get in today and the woman who looks has said 2 a colleague that she doubts shell see anything as itll be hard 2 see some1 crouch down


ERRRRRRRRR hello, u would see some1 walk towards the sodding car though would u not, dissapear then walk somewhere else unless they crawled all round the sodding carpark! going to see her a bit later and see what she has to say!

last time she refused to let me see the tape, data protection isnt it! is there anyway i can see it??? would getting the police in help things??

just pissed off that its happened again and im being told crap again about the cctv, its just excuse after excuse tbh and im not happy

there is no way the centre caps can just come off either, u need 2 work a key or screwdriver round them, they are a pain to get off

Wire the alloys up to an electric cattle fence. Just enough to make the t**sers leave well alone.

Is there no where else you can park thats a little more visable? Maybe nearer the entrance to the CP?

thats the thing

this time i parked dead centre of staff side car park, we have staff and visitor side

so basically the cars are parked in rows, i was at front of a row, so car easily visable from building, so MUST be on cctv

they cant use the ur car was 2 far away this time thing as it wasnt, was prob in best place it could have been, middle of a row, middle of building, at front of a row

ok might not see someone crouching but ud see them walk then bloody dissapear wouldnt you

If im fed with sh!t then i will call the local police as obviously it will just happen again and this company that makes millions needs to get some decent cctv and some more helpful cctv staff

basically there is a huge pothole on my way to the g/fs

HUGE, foot wide at least and deep

anyway im going to try and claim that my centre cap came off there and got knocked down a drain so i couldnt go and get it, council f*cked me over a parking ticket so i dont really give a sh!t about lying

rang them up yesterday and they said i needed to write in, so will today and see if i get anywhere, will say my alloys probably buckled aswell but for now will just claim for the centre cap, long shot but better than work

but the company makes millions so its doubtful really, and if it didnt work before they would have surely fixed it for the future

tbh i just think she cant be arsed to carefully look though 8 hours of video tape

she has other jobs to do so obviously my centre cap isnt very important to her, ill ask if shes watched the whole day through, if not then ill say ill get the police to then if u wont let me

i think its data protection act stuff that means i cant view it from her! bit of a bugger as i wouldnt mind watching it second by second and following the to$$er back to his car

to say that u wont see someone crouching on the cctv is a joke, u must be able to see ppl walk, its lazyness and i bet if it was her car, her alloys shed look all sodding day!


at the end of the day, if nothings done, it will just happen again

not taken seriously at all, she now says it only really covers the first row of cars lol, bollox

she said u can see the other cars roofs etc, she said that its not clear enough to see people walking in the carpark lol, thats crap as she apparently looked last time it happened, why bother if the car was even further back, she hasnt looked through the whole tape anyway she said

going to see what can be done as either shes sh!t or the cctv is sh!t and it seems that theft isnt taken seriously whatsoever

Regarding the theft on Friday. Personally I don’t feel that theft of staff property is taken seriously enough, unfortunately that’s the impression I seem to be getting anyway although I’m not fully aware of what procedures are in place when a theft is reported.



It’s happened before where I was told that I was parked too far away from the building, fair enough I was right at the back of the car park, but this time I was in the centre of the car park at the front of a row of cars.



I’m not questioning Sandra as I wouldn’t expect her or anyone to look through 8 hours of video tape but I’m not really happy with being told that the cctv quality is that bad, that it doesn’t even allow you to see people walking around that far back in the car park. If that is the case then maybe the cctv system needs to be improved?



£20 is not a great deal of money but the problem is that it will most probably happen again and for a company of this size I’d expect to see some kind of improvement in the area.

Thought Data Protection is to do with personal details and infomation, how many TV shows are out there showing CCTV footage?

Your not looking at the tape to intrude on anyone but to spot a thief who is stealing your property!

thats a very gd point mate

i will see what manager has to say about things and then question that aswell as im sure if i could look through the film id spot something, not hard 2 see a figure go towards the car, dissapear

then follow the figure to a car, then a car is much easier 2 work out

ok not concrete evidence for prosecution but at least id know for myself who did it and be able to confront them (follow them home and beat them senseless)

where i work the security will let us view the tape in our own time if anything has happened, some lads scratched my car so got their reg plate found out where they live and went round for a chat, i offered them police or repair my scratch , they paid !

dont know why your works wnt let you see the tape, nothing to do with data protection, it just may be against your company policy

On the other hand you probably see a youth whereing blue jeans, white trainers and a black hoody (with hood up) walking from off camera to your car and off camera again.

Sorry mate but even if you see the film I doubt youll see owt worthwhile.

Have a look about the Freedom of information act Dave this, may help ya its only recently been introduction but may help you with the Data protection act thing.

tbh its a woman and she probably doesnt understand what an alloy centre cap even is lol, nor does my manager lol

they prob just think its a hubcap and think its nothing, but its £20 and a month wait for another

email has been read so im waiting for a response now on the situation, just said i dont think theft is taken seriously enough and that something needs to be done and that i dont believe u cant see figures moving on the cctv

as for not being on camera, carpark is like a huge square, and there is nowhere for ppl to walk, no houses or other buildings for about a mile in any direction so it has deffinately gone in someones car

dont think any1 in carpark has same alloys so maybe knicked for a mate, or just to p!ss me off

managers have asked me to see them later on this morning, apparently there not happy with my questioning it and saying I dont think theft is taken very seriously

but
1. we have camera on the building overlooking the carpark, BUT no-one views what they are recording unless someone complains about something

so why are they there, if they dont see anything and noone watches them, there useless

should be a nice fun chat later anyway

well explained that it couldnt have come off and that its not just a hubcap

she wasnt impressed with what i said, about theft not being taken seriously, said it was a serious allegation, but its bloody true

nothing came of it last time, was forgotten

this time its being taken to the director of the company and all managers , + theyll be chats again with person who views the cctv footage

but basically ive lost my money so got nowhere really, having the cctv improved in 6 months or so is no gd 2 me, chances are ill be working somewhere else by then

may ask to see the video anyway, so i can see where its safe 2 park


basically they said u cant get enough evidence from the cctv, i dont want to convict them, i just want rough evidence of someone near my car so i can trace them myself, so may ask for tape and c what excuse i get for not being able 2

report it to the police as theft stating possibly cctv captured.. theyll get the tape for you no problems...hr wont have a clue about date protection..most ppl dont , and worry just to cover there own backs.

being allowed this afternoon to see some footage so i can see what the cameras cover and also the quality

if i believe its gd enough for me 2 see a person go towards my car and then return to theirs i will try my best to get to see the tape more thoroughly

not expecting the company to do anything without concrete evidence, but i have no problems myself of accusing someone of theft

BLOODY JOKE this woman

she was pushed yesterday into letting me see it

so basically yesterday she emailed me saying i can see it when she changes the tapes at 5pm, but she said yesterday that she was going home early yesterday and does it at 5pm every other day

just went down and guess what, sorry im going home now, have to be tomorrow lol, BIATCH
