Blow off on a turbo diesel

My friend drives economy sport golf 4 turbo diesel and he wants a bloww off...

is it possible to fit a blow off on a diesel? ive heard that it isnt, why?

it is, theres a guy i use to know got 1 for a 306 tdi, i heard theres a place in scotland that does them... but they int chep. dunno how acurate or uptodte this info is tho. but yea its possible

You can have a dump valve on a TD. But it makes no performance difference

A Blow of valve I take it thats to release to much pressure from the turbo?
