BLUE WIRE INTO HEAD UNIT

  Clio mk2
Right iv wired up everything i can for my sub but when it came to putting the blue remote wire into the back of my head unit i didnt know where to place it, i thought mayber ill strip the wire and shuv it into an excisting hole where another blue wire goes into??

No, the blue is for the remote is ot not?

So you need to find which wire is the remote (or possibly aux) wire on the h/u.

You could tap off of the remote wire. What headunit is it?
Any tabs that says ACC or Remote on them? That is the wire you need to join it to.

What i did was located the wire, went to the scrappy, cut a whole ISO harness off, and disconnected the ISO pins, and plugged it into mine, so it looks standard and is properly fastened in. Then soldered the wire for the remote onto the wire, so it has a good connection.

Generally the wire is blue so a scotch lock will do the same as what i did, just a quicker solution.

Does the ISO connector for the HU have a blue remote wire too? Does this plug into anything at the ISO block? If it does, you need to 1. tap off that wire for the amp. or 2. Get access to the ISO, place a new pin in there and do it that way.

Only way your going to be able to tap 5v from there.

if i had a clue wot the ISO block was then id be able to answer you but i dont lol

ISO block is the connectors that clip into the back of the h/u from the car's wiring loom. Not all remote wires from h/u's are blue, my old Kenwood was browny orange I think.

Do you not have a manual for it?

Sometimes theres a wire coming off the back of the h/u with a bunch of other wires with a sticker on it saying remote or RCC as stated before. Its usually blue to match the remote cable but all units vary

you can also use the power antenna lead for this if your head unit doesnt have it.

Or wire it off your ignition.

All these are difficult choices, if you can ge tme a wirign diagram for your HU, we should be able towork out which one you need to connect.

thats the back of my h/u so where do i connect the blue remote wire into and how?

The white connector block is speaker wires, so disregard that.

It'll be one of the wires coming from the black connector.

My money's on the light blue one. Haven't you got a manual?

see i thought that but ill grab my manual and have a look, if it is do i strip the wire then place it in with the excisting one and tape it off to keep it secure?

Well normally, the remote wire from the h/u is only a few inches long and you just connect to it via some kind of connector. So are there any wires that don't go anywhere?

the yellow wire is normally a ACC wire, comes on when igntion is switched on,so try wiring amp remote to yellow wire.....if you cant find a wire to wire it to your going to have to take a feed from permanent live from HU and add a switch in middle and wire to remote of amp and manually turn your amp on and off.

The power cable (the one attached to the battery) should already have an inline fuse in it.

It it doesn't you'll need to wire one in.

  Clio mk2
yea i got a fuse with the wiring kit i got. im getting it all connected 2mora by a guy i know so al let u lot know how it goes n post sum pics of it. cheers for the help.
