Bobby basic SD-based camcorder?

Chaps,

I keep getting alerts from Amazon about a range of Panasonic camcorders - containing, this one especially....

I've no need for the higher spec HD offering as I'll probably not use it much. I was after fitting it to the mounting kit on the road trip to Scotland and maybe the occassional use afterwards - hence why I don't really need a high end one.

Any experience or thoughts on it would be much appreciated.
