Boiled brake fluid/pads gone

  Z4x2 & buying a 182
Just done first ever track day..loved it...hooked.

At the end of the day brakes went almost completely after having been grinding for quite a few laps.

Pedal travels all the way to the floor before any brake bite, which is minimal. Stop light has lit up as has brake light.

Have left it for 2 hours and still pedal goes aaaaaaalll the way.

Will be leaving overnight but then need to use it/tow it tomorrow.

Is this brake fluid boiling or pads gone or both?

The front left pad was smoking after the last lap.

I will be getting upgraded discs and pads and fluid etc but question is....will the brakes recover over night enough to drive the car 60 miles to london?

Cheers

Doesn’t sound great, I guess being your first track day you didn’t expect to have wiped out a set of pads?

Lesson is keep a spare set handy (normal road use ones) just in case this should happen.

Driving back is very risky if they’re down to the metal and something I wouldn’t recommend, for your safety and others
