Good Afternoon All,

After completing a few jobs on my newly purchased RB 182 and one bolt snapping and a few looking in a poor state I wish to replace the bolts, while completing jobs.

Therefore is there a list anywhere which details which bolts are for each area?

I would initially like to replace the bolts which hold down the upper inlet, I would also look to replace the bumper bolts also.

Does anyone know the size that would be require for either of the above although most importantly, the inlet bolts.

Thanks in advance.

A good excuse to buy yourself a thread pitch gauge.

Although I imagine the majority will be standard pitch.

If you have a local fastening place on an industrial estate, they will sort you out for pennies. Alternatively pop the length and M number in to ebay and you can get most in multiples of 2/5/10 etc.

Peugeot's online parts catalogue lists the length and pitch for all bolts on an exploded diagram. I'm unsure if Renault's version is as useful.

Find a local breaker. Ask them to store all the bolts they remove when they break a car. Get them plated or whatever. Job's a good'un.

If you're near Surrey, i'll have them all to collect.

I didn't even know those gauges existed!

Knowing the M number is also a problem, I can't believe there isn't a parts catalogue like you mentioned. I seem to remember a Citroen had a guid also which would make sense if you also remember a Peugeot version which was always handy.

I'm confused?!

Do you mean ask them to keep all the bolts and eventually I'll have all the bolts I require and then get them plated? If so its a good idea but I would much prefer to buy over the counter!!

Thanks @MarcR™ that pic is really helpful.

The bumper bolts which were an issue was the arch bolt on the passenger side and then one of the bolts underneath the car, both captive nuts where no attached so just spinning so need to fix that before re-attaching the bumper.
