bonnet catch?

  clio
got intouch with renault after they text me about the bonnet catch wanting to look at it. when i asked about the time it would take as the text and letter says its generally a while you wait service i got the response " sir it will take at least an hour and a half to inspect it we will have a skilled mechanic and engineer look at it" when i laughed at the hour and a half bit for a bonnet catch I was told "we may need to use specialist oil and silicone spray and you would probobly be be best leaving the car as it will take longer leave it in morning time we'll get it back later in the afternoon"

wtf and they cant look at it for another few weeks.

Does anbody actually know how long it takes as i dont fancy wasting a day on their skilled mechanics checking my bonnet catch. what more can be done i use 3in1 oil and silicone spray my self. but on the other hand i dont fancy the bonnet flying up and killing me, que smug guy from renault going well told you so..

sorry rant over

thing is mate if they just have a quick look at it and let you take the car back bonnet flips up kills you and others they will be held liable for it

dont think they want to take that risk ;)
