Boot keeps thinking it’s open

Hello guys, new issue on the 182
Now I keep having the boot thinking that it’s open, everytime it’s hot outside and the sun smashed my car it gets super sensitive and I can see the light on the dash flickering as I drive along.
And sometimes it even triggers the alarm because the car thinks one of the doors is open.
What do I need to replace I can’t seem to find any real sensor apart from maybe the lock mechanism itself?

Theres a microswitch in the latch on the boot which wears out, you need to replace that.

do I need to replace the whole latch?

Ideally yes replace full latch as i dont think the switch is available on its own. Part number
8200078950 can buy new oem from rpd or loads of 2nd hand on ebay.
