Boot Lock Knackered - Ford Galaxy!

Firstly let me explain myself

I'm posting this on behalf of my Mrs's old man who has a 1997 Ford Galaxy and is after some help, thought i'd try here before i sign up to a Ford site.

Pics will maybe explain better so here they are, it's in bits as you can see!

The bits:

Inside boot door - lock mech:

would it! well see them bits top pic they somehow go back together to then fit back into the lock mechanism pictured in 2nd pic.

I'm guessing someone would know what im talking about if they looked at the pics or maybe not! to be honest though that's all i really know, was hoping somebody may help when looking at the pics.
