boot not connected to alarm system?

I think my boot is not connected to ther alarm system, i just bought a brand new boot sensor that goes on the tailgate, and that made no difference, so i am thinking its not connected to the system,

Does anyone know where it joins up to the system? maybe I have a loose wire
