Boot won't lock

Just went out to my car and was playing around with it whilst on the phone and noticed that my boot wasn't locked. Last couple days I noticed that when locking it didn't sound as loud and it turns out it's because only my doors are locking.

Anyone know what to check? Guessing a link somewhere may have broken but I stripped the rear last week and also loosened the lock to spray parts but it was working after all this. :S

Oh, also no alarm so kinda need this sorted lol.

Dont leave anything of value in the car then.

Take the tailgate trim off, 2 screws and a bit of manforce then you can check the mechanism.

Well the rear of the car is stripped anyway so it's all of

Yeah it shuts fine and stays shut just doesn't even try to lock :s

Checked all fuses and had a look at the mech but cant see anything wrong.

Edit - Searching around apparently it's quite common and will need a new locking mech.
