Bored Again Yesterday

Car  Bumder With A Buffer
So decided to finally have a play with my spare side bullets I got from Adam...

Not finished yet...need to get some model paint tonight from the parents to do the 2.0 16V part as I tried to do it with normal spray paint and failed ;). Hence why some if it seems crap! Weren't much point carrying on once I found out it wasn't going to plan! Scrape off and start again though easy enough.

Also had a quick whazz with my engine cover...

Again not finished... ran out of paint doh!:( Thinking of doing part of it white although think it might be better just Monaco

Hopefully be finished later on tonight... then put them on tomorrow. Know its been done loads before but am happy with the results so far :)

Better to get a touch up paint set and use the paint from that, ideal for painting on with a paintbrush then :)

flol at the zero

good work there rich ;)

Mehh it just wasn't happening with the spray paint! So decided to stop before finishing! Kind of thought it wouldn't but thought it was worth a go... couldn't be arsed to drive the 4 miles to get some White Model paint!!

Just take your time Fella..... Aslong as you are patient they will turn out ok :D

Remember I started then decided not to carry on! :) did the main bits then was aiming to do more detailed bits after... but the spray paint started to get stick and it basically looked w**k!

Should of waited but its not going to take long tonight to fix/finish... at east I've learnt for next time!!

Im sure he started somewhere!! Knew I shouldn't of used the spray paint in the lid trick but I was being impatient!! All will be sorted tonight :)

you can use the aerosol paint out of the lid trick. you just need to paint primer on the surface first. cheaper than buying touch up tubs everytime ;)

nice try, was you a bit tipsy when you painted the bullets lol

Na was trying to do it in a hurry... it was only the outline part.. then I was going onto the detailing and doing it nicely... i did the V properly but the paint was drying and going funny... plus I dont think id left the blue to dry correctly as it was running thorugh... hence why it looks soooo w**k!! :)

Lol richy! My first attempt was quite similar, I didn't use a brush, masked up around each individual letter and sprayed on the paint. Took me bloody ages and came out crap!

Engine cover looks good though :)

off topic but i wana spray my cover what exactly do i need or is it just a simple spray n lacquer?

I just used normal Spray paint. Might be told that is wrong though!

Just make sure you prepare the surface properly as I had a small bit of grease still on the cover and it has come through the paint :(

taa daaa Had some time to myself today so finished them off :)

Just need to be lacquered later on :)

Looks better second time round- a steady hand helps... but you'll get better with practice ;)

My error last time was I didnt let the blue dry enough before starting on the white so it came through hence why I stopped and it looked s**t!

Its still not perfect as was using spray paint out of the lid but its hardly noticeable :)

I started doing my side bullets yesterday, never painted anything in my life! Laquer went on alright, but had a little bit of problem with the satin black. But will be doing it slowly this week to make sure there perfect otherwise they wont look right. Satin Black bullet with yellow writing FTW on my Cup!

That cloth is well placed! How have you managed to keep it held down?
