Boss issues - 172 cup

Bought a steering wheel boss off eBay, I don't see how this can fit onto my car with the airbag connector.. any suggestions how or if I can get round this?

that ain't gonna work at all. The OMP ones are almost hollow giving you space for the airbag plugs.
you can fit it but you'd have to chop your airbag connectors off.

Get either an OMP or MOMO one.

I managed to make it work in the end, i removed the plastic with the silver reflective sheet and it went straight on. Just need to wire up the horn, has anyone completed this?

Awaits the broken squib. The horn is known for shorting when swapping from a oem wheel so a ph1 push horn is advised

It did spark at one point, what do you mean by ph1 horn? Where can I purchase this from?

Its the stalk from a ph1 clio 172 as is has a push horn in the side of the stalk. Best bet is put up a wanted ad mate

The wiring for the horn looks like two wires, the horn I have for the new steering wheel is two wires, is this not going to be ok, I assume this is the horn cable I have identified.. unlike the Renault sport wheel I have a horn on the wheel already

Yeh just the solder that is on the squib is plop and tends to fail. Give it a go

So using the stalk method I assume this doesn't use the solder joint you are talking about ?
