Bought One , What Next

Got myself an RS Tuner for £55 which im well happy about.

I know that i need to get a car licence from fast chips and then i know i need to buy the maps from there and upload them to my car if i wnat to change them but i have a couple of questions.

1, Where do i download the RS Tuner from to get it on my laptop ?

2, My car is already running a 98Ron map so how can i get the OE map back ?

You download it from the fastchip website mate as for getting the OE map back I'm not so sure.

Fastchip website and download the latest software to your laptop.

To get O.E back you will need to Email/speak with Henk, also that tuner supports pops n bangs.

I want to OE back on and i want start fresh with having all the maps for the car including the standard one

If you want to pay for the Licence and map you can borrow it to put maps on your cars.

Nope never used one in my life but my brother has as this is who i have bought it from.

It is very easy.

But not quite sure how you will get your standard map file back if its already currently mapped with the 98 ron one, your meant to keep a backup of it before you upload your new map file.

Probably wont work. I'm sure Henk has done something with the software to stop people doing this.

As Stevo said all maps are locked to each specific vin via the new RStuner module.

Only way is to have the old style tuner and maps.

I used the maps the previous owner of my RSTuner sent me, and worked fine.
​My one doesn't do pops and bangs though.

Im happy to buy all the maps there is but i just want to make sure my car can get the OE factory map back so if i ever want to get it mapped but someone like RS Tuning i will have the stock OE map.

Easy enough to swap back to OE. The 98 map makes great difference. And £55! That's bloody cheap sold mine for double that a few months ago

As i say i dont have any maps atall and the RS Tuner was used on a 197.

I was just wondering how on earth i would get the OE map back but i have dropped an e-mail to Henk and im awaiting for a reply
