Braided brake lines... ballache

Car  Nissan 350z
So i picked up a set of unusued braided brake lines off a member on here, ordered 1.5L worth of replacement fluid from Opieoils and asked a mate with a flat drive to help me fit them.

But this being a Renault nothing was ever going to be straight forward right?

Managed to fit 3 out of the 4 without issue, came to remove the passenger side front existing Renault OEM hose but it wont budge it just spins then goes tight, then spins etc. It appears someone has replaced these in the past and whoever refitted has cross threaded it where it meets the tube. So now when trying to remove its just spinning and pissing fluid everywhere. We managed to tighten it back up to stop the leak but this isnt an ideal situation.

Help!
- Will 1 side braided and 1 side OEM affect my braking for road use?
- Is this going to be a replacement tube job now? :dead:

it will have been overtightened and the end of the fitting will be squashed. seen it a fair number of times, even when they've never been apart before.

it WILL come apart, but you have to be a bit forceful with it. Leverage against the pipe whilst undoing will be entirely necessary

Wish id known that before danny! We have put it all back together now and left it as i figured it would be an issue with the thread on the tube.

So the tube might be alright to fit the new braided line in? I suppose thats a relief in terms of potential cost :)

lol!

My fronts where a b**ch as well, luckily I only watched them being fitted and listened to the swearing!!

Lol at the replies.

@Fred this just means im slowly compiling an even bigger list of "jobs" for the next time i grace your workshop :)

@The_Clio_Kid i picked up an unused set of Goodridge off richy22 on here.

Mine did the same. Must have been overtightened at the factory. I trashed my passenger side one by continuously spinning it and had to replace the line. Drivers one was just as much of a pain but I knew what I had to do to get it off.
