Brake bias issue........sorted

does anyone know what the definitive position is on the brake bias issue with the Cup ? I know this has been discussed at some length in other threads, but it still seems a little uncertain. Ive spoken to owners who insist it should be there (one of whom is a long serving reno technician) and even come across one case where a car was taken to the supplying dealer and the part modified/another type fitted (sorry, dont know the exact details).

Any comments would be appreciated..............Im picking my Cup up next week and dont want to be worrying about handling/braking anomolies when the fun time begins !!

Cheers.

renault state it is standard for the cup model not to be fitted with the link rod(tell your renault technician friend to look at technical talk number 43-october 2002,all the info is on there although it doesnt state why its missing).mines missing and ive never had any problems.due to the design of these brake valves if the rod was supposed to be there and was missing then you would lose rear brakes altogethor.i think they must have internally modified the valve. we have been dealing with this complaint at work this week.if i hear anything new i will leave a post.jay

Its NOT meant to be there, Renault have a tech note to back this up, get someone to check on ACTIS and show you...
