Brake problem, need help guys

Just came back from a drive and was nearing home when i noticed my brakes start to feel spongy!!
the brakes still worked but the pedal seemed to travel further before they worked, i know it's really hot out tonight and i was making them work hard but something feels wrong, when i got back in my garage i pressed the pedal hard and with enough force it goes all the way down....thing is i can't see any fluid leaks anywhere.
one more thing is that the pads and discs may be a little worn as i haven't had chance to replace them yet since buying the car.
any idea's please? cheers guys.

Check everywhere for a leak to start with if it's going to the floor

checked it after half an hour and no leaks from anywhere, no fluid lost either, with engine off the pedal is solid

maybe a lot of air in system?? try bleeding and see if it helps

My guess would be a problem with the master cylinder

could be air but the problem happened almost instantly, noticed it first after i drove over a few speed bumps (very slowly) then turned a corner, after that the pedal travelled further before braking.

probably a good thing i took the extended warranty....only had the car six weeks, last week air con packed up and now this brake problem, just have to hope problems will be covered by warranty......
strange though how it's done 35,000 miles in five years before i owned it and yet these problems happen four days and less than 90 miles apart!!!!!!
