brake upgrade advice pls

  Trophy #267
Having just attended my 1st trackday @ croft this weekend i found the biggest problem I had was with brake fade after a few fast laps when pushing it trying to match a few faster cars. I am already running braided lines but use some 3rd party cheap and cheerful pads which are fine for road use with standard discs.
Just curious which was the likey cause for the fade as was considering a new front pad + disc combo such as the brembo discs ?
Not looking at caliper upgrade as poss overkill for occasional track use.

Thoughts please ?

As you said, calipers not needed.

Brembo HC discs, and either Ferodo DS2500, Pagid Blue, Carbon Lorrain I've had experience of...DS2500 do give up when really hot. The other two pretty much keep going regardless.

Make sure you change/fluch/improve the fluid too or all your work will be wasted.

There's always good mutterings about EBC too but never tried them myself.

So predominantly pads then. Having read thet the ds2500 are'track use only' are the others the same ? The setup is fine for day to day use so will look at upgrading when a new set are required or before my next track day - whichever is first.
fluid is new as I flushed it myself when I changed the braided lines last month.
I may be visiting yozza with my xmas bonus at this rate :)

Yep good pads and fluid most important if your fuiid does need changing.

DS2500 are race use only as there not type approved for the road. Ds2500 are quie a hard pad there are sorter pads which are a bit stronger than stock ie Green stuff etc which are road legal.
