Brake wear indicator light on 172

Being lazy ... so before I get under the car to see if I can eyeball the pads ... is there a brake pad wear indicator on 172? No lights coming on but brakes arent feeling as good as they used to etc.. Add to that the nasty noise when ABS came on the other day (in addition to the usual ABS knocking).

There isnt. I changed my pads last week and they were absolutely sh*gged.

How do you know if your pads are shagged then????

Your brakes no longer slow the car down. Seriously its a good question - you really need to get a wheel off and have a look now and again.
