Brakes failing and other recalls

Me and a couple of the guys in work have been checking out this site -

Gives you all the info on car recalls from 1992 onwards. Surprisingly there are a lot of recalls from Renault, some of which are for 'failing brakes'.

Chap I work with now drives Jap only as the Clio he once owned back in 1999 had a failing brake servo and he stacked it coz if this.

Anyone else had brake failures or any other recall issues?

My brakes feel shoot all the time. Since new i think. I had a megane and braked like normal and nearly went through screen. This was after a month or two o owning the car. Sometimes i brake and they seem C***

Thats the thing is the brakes on my 225 are awesome and the ones in my 172 never missed a beat, same as the missus 182 Cup.

Just strange how there were a few models recalled and I know someone who it happened too. This ist he best place to gauge it I guess though.
