Brakes fooked ???

Ummm basically, parked up my car and put handbrake on, normally a small lift up, but this time it felt really weak and pulled up insanly high as though the cable had snapped (put it was on).

got in the car was coming to a junction, put brakes on they usually react straight away as in i dont need to push pedal down far but this time i had to push it really hard down to stop the car like they just failed, but out of knowwhere, they were red hot to.

wtf do i need new pads drums and a hand brake cable or sumink.

Had the same problem a couple of months ago, turns out the pads in the rear drums had collapsed

christ, maybe this is wat happened, i do alot of driving and they were insanly hot.

how much for new brakes. Umm also what would explain the hand brake thingy, are they connected

I had to replace all my Pads a few months back as breaks would lock on since it was metal to metal lol i was around £90 with discount

hha jus went out and the back brakes locked up, as though the handbrake was on, but it wasnt.

couldnt move the car as wheels wudnt move, got it towed to a garage in town, gotta get up early tomoz and explain the clio on there forcourt tht wasnt there when they closed lol.

how much for new back shoed inc labour u rekon.

Thats what was happening with mine mate...Youll need new Rears and prob New front Pads....

you need brake cylinders (they will have seized) on both sides, the exact thing happend to me.

Yeah you'll need new cylinders and brake shoes. Very common problem with Clios.

right, i got new shoes put on, brakes bled but they forced one of them off as it was stuck so i needed a new cylinder too.

Spiezels Rear shoes on all Clios are warranty upto 4 Years unlimited mileage!! A fair few have trouble with the shoe, the material actually comes off the rivets on the shoe, and wedges round, locking up the brakes.
