brakes

  Scooby STi, FiestaST
ok i've done about 5800 miles in the car and the brakes seem very grinding...
when going slow (ie in a traffic jam) i hear what can only be descibed as a squeak squeak... without my foot on the brake.

I would have put this down to a warped disk, but braking from high speed doesnt make the brakes shudder and they do stop pretty quick (even if they feel a bit biting and grinding).... I was under the impression that a warped disk would judder a bit.

I dont drive around slamming my brakes and do drive pretty sensibly so just wondered if anyone had any ideas ?

apart from a big hammer.

tke the wheel of and have a look at your pads they might be worn down to much on one side.
New pads are only £17 from Halfords.
