brakes?

Folks ive only had my little mk3 for 5 months and done around 10,600 miles while i was getting a puncture repaired today i asked the guy to check the breaks on the front as ive been hearing grinding alot when breaking lightly at slow speeds. He said there was only about 1000-500mile left on the current pads! (im positive its the pads as ive put a load of water and stuff through behind the pad and disk and it still grindes!) I dont excactly brake hard or late as I like to try and keep my speed at a steady pace to save petrol! Should I take the car back to renault and ask them whats going on? if not what pads should i buy? everyone used to be ranting about greenstuff pads but ive heard they are sh!t! any help would be appricated!

Renault will just say it's wear & tear on the pads. Unless there is something majorly wrong they won't be that interested really.

I'd get new pads on it asap & if they have scored the dics, get those done too. Sorry, I can't agvice on up-rated pads etc.

ive just put greenstuff on mine with brembo hc disks they seem ok at the mo i havent tested them properly yet .also i need to change the fluid and lines. they should be fine for your car
