Brakes

When i brake at slow speeds 5-10 mph theres a kind of clunking noise coming from the drivers side front brake?

Anyone any ideas?

Hi mate,

Have you recently had them changed? It could be a number of things but I had this after I fitted some EBC kevlar pads to my cup.

The problem was that the new pads were about only 1-2mm smaller, which caused them to move in the housing. So, now Im back on the Renault ones.

Get it checked out just incase, quite important brakes?!

Yeah, had the discs and pads changed to fast road ones, same size of discs vut different pads. Cheerz mate.

Also check the bolts have been done back up properly and its not the caliper itself clunking .

Did it make a metalic ping aswell, like a clip was coming loose?

Thats what I had. The Renault guy said there was absolutely nothing wrong with them, but they make a noise. If I could put up with it then ok...but I couldnt!! Did my head in and made me feel a bit unsure.

Yeah its already been into renault about two months ago and had the brakes stripped down and they changed the servo, was fine after that.

Before they changed the servo it felt as if there wasnt any power in the brakes at all, the pedal would sink straight to the floor.
