Braking Problem

Just wondering if any of you guys can help me, under braking my clio (52 plate) judders. Its as though, for a split second the car isn't braking. A bit like the abs is working but it happens at any speed. Also, the ABS light is on.

At first I though it could be the brake pads but I changed them earlier but still the same problem.

It is quite hard to explain so please forgive the rubbishness of my post

Any help appreciated!

It definitely sounds like an abs problem. Check all the abs rings are intact and check for any damage in the sensor wiring or for a blocked sensor.

if not any of the above, faulty caliper - e.g piston not moving properly causiing vibrations due to wearing down on one side more than the other. causing the pad to stick

i got this on my bmw once and brace got so hot it heated the alloy to a scolding temperature and this in turn made the tyre seal glue s**t the tyre fitters use to bubble away and the air leaked out the tyre!!!
