Brand new 182 checklist

Hi, cher "Vive le sport" - lers,

Could someone propose a good checklist for a brand new 182?

It would be useful tool when pickin the car for the first time at the dealers.

It would be Extremely Appreciated.

Check all the bodywork for marks/dents, obviously.

Splitter (if you chose the option)

Mats, sometimes get taken out and sold seperately!!

Tyre foam

Locking wheel nut key

Boot net

Its mostly silly stuff that gets forgot, but you paid for it so its best to make sure you get it.

ill be making a checklist to take with me when I collect the car, includes all of the above. Who takes the mats out to sell, is it the dealor or when the cars are on the way?

should be 2X tyre foam I think?

go round paint fine tooth comb, underneath, no dents on exhausts etc

sometimes scratches near door handles where people have been opening door, make sure all accessories fitted as you asked.

Should be a locking wheel nut box, with 1 key and 4 spare nuts not locking.

a;; common sense really, just ask for the car key and spend 10 mins going round it before you sign anything.

Yeah there should be two cans of tyre foam.

I dont know who removes the mats but there have been people on here have 172s without them!! They are part of the spec.

I hope they dont check mine too thouroughly when they take it in p/x as some of those things wont be on it.

And dont forget to ask for an animal like in the advert. Im going to.

I was looking on ebay at this animal thingy, 2 things 1? what is it, and does it definately come with the car?

2) Is there a 182 advert on TV in UK now like the old 172 ads? I havnt seen one. Is it on net anywhere?

1. see above for what it is and no it doesnt come with the car.

Dave, Cup badges!! Oh dear youll get it now.

The dealer has told me hell try and get me a nice plate, think Ill ask for **04 CUP.

You can save that movie from the site. Watch the Quicktime version of it, once its down downloading just search your tempory internet files folder for a file called: renault_clio_drummer_bb.mov and copy it out of that folder to where you want to keep it.

well i was wondering how long it would take someone to notice, but i guess it wsnt long enough, it is not standard, i just thought it looked nice!

I tried it on the side like on the 172 cup but it didnt look right without the 172 bit in yellow so i tried it on the back and thought it looked pretty good, it looks a different colour to the clio badge in that pic but that is just the angle and light, they look the same in the flesh, you cant tell it isnt standard issue!

I know im gonna get crap from 172 cup owners but i dont care, its just a little piece to finish off my car! (Just one last thing to do now, painted rcing blue callipers!)
