brand new spare tyre, knackered??

ive had this spare for a while, just come to fit it instead of buying two new ones as im short of cash . . . was flat, put it on, went down over night.

took it in and they say that the tyre cannot be repaired as the puncture is on the inside rim. this means it will get too hot for it to repaired as its close to the brakes and the engine . . .

is this bullshit to get me to buy a new tyre or the truth?

They are sort of right any good garage who ins't stupid will only repair a type if the nail etc is in the center three quarters of the tyre its the only safe place.

If its your spare just get a budget/midrange tyre most people never use them before they go off anyway.

what tyre size you after mate?i have a tyre sitting in my garage that accomodates the size of the clio alloys,however its on a saxo rim so youd need to remove it

EDIT: tyre size i have it 185/60/14 if thats any help?
