breifly spongey brakes!!

I was driving tonight and all of a sudden I go to brake and they're incredibly soft, the pedal goes all the way to the floor before I get any braking!

So I pull over to look for leaks and such and see nothing, five minutes pass and my friend tries the pedal, its completely back to normal! But now I have no confidence in the car and am leaving fantastic braking distances incase it happens again!

What could have caused this?? Please help!!

It sounds like a tiny air bubble has worked its way through your system it does happen,i would have your system flushed with new fluid better safe than sorry matey

Swear someone else on here had something similar to this recently. Id start with getting your brake fluid changed asap.

i found the problem later that evening,
one of the pads had disappeared!

very strange tbh, but ive installed new pads and made sure everything is where its supposed to be down there!
