Brembo Max and Renault oem brake pads

Anyone know how standard oem Renault pads perform with Brembo Max's ?

No trackdays intended, only spirited back roads drives on the odd occasion

As Ferodos etc are a bit costly and i'm guessing the brake dust would kill my Turinis :(

I had oem with Brembo HC's (same minus the grooves i think) and they worked fine, much improved over std.

same set up as mine (changing in a few days to brembo hc's and ds2500's), but yeah absolutley fine for the odd spirited drive and normal driving.

Anyone else rate this combination ?

And no posts saying buy DS2500's, Ebc's, Carbon Lorraines etc.... :rasp:

Buy DS2500s ;)

I can't say for your setup, I've always thought uprated pads with standard discs was better than uprated discs and standard pads, don't know why, just what I've always thought for some reason.

I have ds2500s with standard discs and the increase in stopping power is night and day over standard set up. Even when cold and in winter, they're at least as good as standard, just slight squeaking. When warmed up though, my god they're amazing. Even as a driver they can shock you at how quick you slow down.

can you not get the ds2000 for the same price as the OEM ones anyway

Feck knows.

I may get them at a later date, is there nothing cheaper as DS2500's are over £100 arent they ? :(

Tbh I don't know of cheaper alternatives, not something I've looked into as I've had mine a while. They do last for ages though, I've heard of one set of pads to three sets of discs.

OE pads will still fade at the same rate regardless of the discs.

Brembo Max discs are a waste of money if you are only going to fit OE pads. If you haven't bought them already just buy OE discs, or Brembo HC's, and the money you save on dics, put that towards some decent pads.
