Brembos

Will the brembos off the megane fit the 172? I believe its the R26?

I dont mean straight fit, i can get brackets made. Just looking for a cheaper option rather than buying an "off the shelf" kit.

yes, lots...

- 5 stud hubs on 197 / megane, 4 stud on clio - discs would have to be made up / sourced from something else.
- Master Cylinder not big enough as standard
- Won't fit behind the wheels (either 15" or 16", doubt they would go behind a lot of 17" as well - but it is more likely than the others.)
- plus the brackets are a lot more complex than you would think.

i have had brackets made for discs and calipers before so thats no an issue.

Not sure re bigger master cylinder, how big are the discs?

Wheels are a small issue.

Bracket is easy.

Disc being 5 stud slight problem.

well i fitted 300mm wilwoods to my punto with custom made brackets.

Ill have to fettle.

Just buy a caliper direct from someone like AP, I'm sure they can advise which one out of their range would be a good fit and then make up the brackets and other bits yourself? If you like to play + fiddle could that be a way to go?

wilwoods can be had from rallydesign, £89 per caliper i think of the top of my head, and they will fit 300mm discs.

Then its just a case of taking the caliper and clio hub and i can get bracket made
