Brit Willy 2 on the ’ring today..

I saw a lovely Willy 2 at the ring today and eventually got to speak with the owner. He has yet to find this site, but I suggested that he look a little harder for it.

I tried to con him into letting me drive him around for a lap or two but he wasnt quite up for it. Too bad. I really miss mine and would have loved to get a couple laps in. I offered him a passenger lap in my Audi but he had disappeared when I went back out.

It isnt often that you see a Renault at the ring, much less a Willy!

And if you think that Renaults have reliability problems, yesterday I found out that GTi16vs can have bad days as well.

I blew the left inner CV halfway through my 3rd lap. €175 to tow the car off the track and to the garage. They bunged in a new CV, and on my next lap I managed to shear the stub axle on the same side...at least this time I did it at a high point and was able to coast to the Breidscheid exit, with a friendly push from a fellow Gti driver over one uphill section.

You should have no trouble finding a taker for that ticket. Most of us have Jahrekarten and dont need a ticket, but there always someone wholl use it.

The logical thing would be to make another trip and use it yourselves!
