AWESOME!

Whats the total cost of work to get that power though? Just intrigued btw I couldnt afford the petrol for 500BHP!

Be ineteresting to keep a log off all track time and hard use to see how well it stands up for the huge pressure.

I mean u couldnt do a full track day without experiencing a failure of somesort surely

why not it already has before with a bit less power, im sure it will be fine if driven properly and not ragged through the gears like an idiot!!
he has already said the gearbox is an unknown so that is probably the only real known part that may fail, but then again it may not,

Am just amazed how much power can be squeezed from small turbo engines, and still be reliable enough to be a daily driver.

Is it anydifferent to drive off boost? And has how much more fuel does it use if just tootling around?

Must go well when you hit third gear, must be fun on track not so much fun on the road that is a big lump of boost.Nice work.

Gearbox might be an issue but I dont see why the engine wont be reliable at that level.

Its relatively straight forward to build a 2 litre engine with that power if you use the right bits, there are loads of evo and cosworth trackday cars at that level with a good level of engine reliability and he'll be using the same quality of rods and pistons etc as he would when building one of those anyway.

Unless there is some sort of inherent weakness in the block or similar (ive had block failure on an engine I built that wasnt running much more power than this so it is possible on some engines to have that sort of failure) and it looks from scoffs car like that isnt an issue for the F4R block.

It drives perfect as an everyday car, does about the same MPG as a stock one round town too. I think most people think it's on or off, if you drive it normal it's like any other although very different on boost.

There will be a load of pictures on our facebook soon as we had a photo shoot yesterday.

I'll upload a dyno vid too, just need to edit me with the cheesy grin haha
