Bucket seats

When removing the standard seats there are plastic washers between the original subframe and the base of the car. Are these important/required, or can they be removed to give a slightly lower seat position.

TBH I don't think you'll gain much removing them Warren and the likelihood is they serve a purpose, either taking some of the strain from the subframe to shell or similar...

i was told to leave them in first time i ever fitted buckets,

if you are talking on the inside by the tunnel, you may aswell leave them in...
