bucket seats?

hey, not sure if this in right section so mods please move it if needs be.

anyways,

made some enquiries about some bucket seats for my 52 ph2 172.

i spoke to merlin motorsport about the cobra imola seats.

They quoted me approx £795 inc vat (approx - can remember exactly but sure this is what it worked out - left paper at work!) for:

2 x Imola seats
2 x Lowered subrames for the clio
2 x side mounts

And that wasn't including harnesses either.

Is this the sort of price i'll be looking at for seats - or could i find it cheaper elsewhere. If you've bought seats - where and how much did you get them from?

Also if any ones got information regarding to fitment of the seats to the 172 - i think theirs an issue with the abs light staying on or something?

little update - spoke to demon tweeks today and they offered discount for clio sport members.

the above i can now get for £689.

After looking at Recaro prices again today... that sounds bloody cheap tbh.

depends on which ones but trendlines are north of 1k

My Recaro SPG's were about £380 each when I bought them. Fletcher's right - £500 each now! Ouch!

thats a lot of money! i will when ive saved enough purchase the above i think.

just trying to get my head around the airbag/ecu wires and getting them disconnected and reconnected so the lights on the dash stay off for when i buy them. has anyone got a proper guide for doing this?

yeh just the standards for me - im a skinny one anyway so i should be ok!

been reading through the endless posts about fitting seats - am thinking is it worth me trying it or just take to some to fit it for me! probs take less then half the time and without any head scratching too?!
