Buffing the car lol - plz read it all thanks.

Right final Questions here. Im going to be doing it soon. First off - im not getting a pc, forget it. I want a 1.6 too badly to be buying a porta cable..... A friend who i work with has a buffer (not sure what it looks like or what type it is yet). hes used it on his mini which was swirled to f**k. And now hes done it it looks beautiful. Made a really really good job of it.

Anyways im either going to borrow the thing from him so i can do it myself, and get him to show me how to use it "safely", or just give him a few bucks to do it.

Basically im going to nxt gen the car for a while so it takes all the s**t off it and then clay the car. Its the next bit im a bit stuck with. Am i right in thinking you just need to buff the swirls out of the paintwork, and then add some protecting products (i need some reccomendations pplz) like clearcoat and some other s**t, and then add the polish egp and if i can be arsed, wax. ? ? ? Now if i know my mate itll of been buffed, then simply polished. So ti wont be atall protected.




Would apreciate help, advice and any warnings and also reccomendations for protecting products. Thanks Guys !

To remove the swirls look into some decent polishes to use.

Megs 83 and 80
Poorboys SSR 2.5, 2 and 1 or
Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Finish

The SRP, EGP Wax etc.

Do i need to use both megs and poorboys. or do i remember you telling me that Poorboys was the best to use.

So poorboys and then the Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Finish. Then the srp, egp and if i can be bothered. Wax.

Ill look at prices now.

No you have 3 choice of route-

1 - Megs 83 and 80
2 - Poorboys SSR 2.5, 2 and 1 or
3 - Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Finish

Of course you could mix and match the above say use Poorboys SSR 2.5 then use the Menzerna Final Finish

Clay - reccomendations lol. Whats the difference between the aggressive one and the mild one etc etc...?

The swirl removing polishes are those listed!

As for clay I would just use the Megs one.
