Bumper off??...

I'm getting my alternator chnaged on my 182 with AC today and just wondering if its a bumper off job?
The guy working on it is unsure whether it can be done without removing the bumper.

I've heard it is, easier to do the work or something.

I don't know from personal experience, however i have seen a thread on here where the bumper was took off to fit the alternator

OK quick reminder as I'm at home and the car is in the garage.... Bumper removal involves....

Screws in the arches?
Headlights out to get to more screws?
Any in the slam panel? (Grill?)

mate, its literally a 5min job to remove, so if they try dont let the garage talk nonsense to you about it being a lot more work.

Bumper off and OSF headlight out is the easiest way

I didnt take the bumper off just upper grill and O/S arch liner, its just a bit fiddly

Nah the guy wont try and hustle me for extra money as he is guy who works with my bro-in-law... I literally have to fight with him just to give him money.

He just hasn't done much work on RS Clio's as he mainly works on Ford Van and commercial vehicles.

H presumed it would be quite straight forward but soon realised it was going to be fiddlier than he expected.
