burning smell from clio 1.2 16v

hi guys have a Renault clio 1.2 16v i have started to smell a burning coming from the car i smell it when i get out but also when im driving it. my water level does go down a little like ever month so maybe have a little water leak but not sure why i smell burning can anyone help me ??

You checked for water in the oil?

no i havent silly question but how would i go about looking for that ??

Just pull your dipstick out and see if the oil is milky. And check your coolant expansion tank to make sure there is no oil in there either.

iv checked the oil and that all good

...... I blew a rear speaker

If it smells like eggs or an electrical burning smell it could possibly be your alternator on the way out.
