burst flexi - AGAIN

burst the flexy pipe on my downpipe/cat on my 1200 16v AGAIN 2nd time in 3 months, using an uprated lower mount to minimise engine movement so dont know whats causing it other than the exhaust catching the odd speedbump or 2.

but i noticed the newer euro4 1.2 16v engines phased in arround 2004 have a different exhaust manifold and cat (they dont use a flexy they use a spring thing!)

would it be ok to use a custom solid manifold with no flexy/spring when using a solid engine mount so it didnt pull the exhaust about!

not sure mate i fancy it but amused with my 172 for now lol just need to get the 1.2 running aswell as it sounds like a pile of pish with the burst flexi

how are the rear exhaust hangers?? if theyre goosed, the extra movement will kill the flexi join.
